But not many know that he had published novels and short stories before 1950 under the pseudonym, ‘Vijaya’. Golla Ramavva was published in Kakatiya Magazine in 1949. Golla Ramavva is an old woman who lives with her young grand daughter. It was the time of uprising against the Nizam’s rule and the atrocities of the Razakars. One night a young revolutionary breaks into Golla Ramavva’s house seeking refuge. Keeping him safe will test the courage of the old woman and push the limits of the price she is willing to pay.
